MVR FALL NEWSLETTER 2005
Extra Extra Read All About It!!! MVR and The
Janette Rankin Peace Center have started a program to
fund recycling in the schools. Call today to make a donation
or go to our website for more information.
Besides that, not too much is new in the recycling worl.
Our big gas-hog trucks are still working to haul tons
of recyclables to market, using way less gas
than fifty folks driving around to drop-off the goods as.........................
Oil goes up up up, but still not high enough
to stop many people from driving.
Have you thought abut using a bike more
often with these rising gas costs? FREECYCLES
at 732 S. 1st. W. will help you fix up that
run down bike for free. OR you could recycle all your old
two wheeled inventions.... they will fix and find them a home.
They are open from 4-7pm Monday thru Thursdays to help you
and can be reached at 541-7248 (PATH).
The glass drop-off is still growing a hill, and we are hoping
a market for the glass sand can be sustained. Some of it is
being used in small concrete projects. We are paying them
to grind glass so you our customers are making glass recycling
happen in Missoula.
Kids are susceptible to the dealers that push trash on them.
Naturally, people that recycle become more aware of their
environment. Please help the kids by supporting "Recycling
in the Schools."
Please: You can help us by separating and crushing your recyclables.
Darin says "Wash and Squash."
Andy asks everybody to:
please separate your tin and aluminum. And your
magazines and newspaper! And no lids thank you.
Tom reminds everybody to: write your name on all of your re-usable
plastic bins.
Call us three days in advance if you need to change your pickup
day or get a vacation hold.
