WINTER 2005 NEWSLETTER
JANUARY FEBRUARY MARCH

-Sorry our billing is late for the second time in four yers. Our sofware has been misbehaving and we may need to change our format to not include the calendars in the future. Thank you for your patience. We appreciate the concern of our customers who called in to check on their bill.

-It has been a great year for MVR. Starting up the glass recycling program has made a positive impact on removing materials from the waste stream headed to the landfill. Ozzie has been able to create a small market for his sand substitute in homebuilding and cement applications. We look forward to more positive developments on the glass issue. MVR members are creating positve change now. MVR has collected about 10,000 pounds a month or 5 tons every month.

-Our new webpage www.missoulavalleyrecycling.com has been up for a few months and provides a great source of information. Check it out! We also post our newsletters, updated info, sorting guidelines, FAQs, and photos. We hope to have more photos on the site this year as well. Sign up forms and sorting instructions can be printed right off the web page. We are not able to do e-commerce or accept creditcard payments but the website is a great resource.

-In order to provide greater customer service we are asking everyone to put last name and address in permenant marker or with a heavy duty label on their recycle bins . The drivers will be putting MVR stickers on recycling bins and tubs when the weather is warmer and dryer.

-Due to higher prices for oil and plastic, we are not currently offering our recycling bins. We recommend a 16 US gallons Rubbermaid storage tote with a flat lid and are stackable. They are available at most hardware stores and home centers.

-We would like to thank the Sustainable Business Council, Missoula Urban Demonstration Project, the Independent, Cedar Mountain Software, the NMCDC, and also congratulations to Home Resource 541-8300 on their one year anniversary and also thanks for inviting us to the party.
